EESSA
In preparation
Prepare, care and learn together. EESSA — Emergency Environmental & Social Services Alliance — is HUI’s proposal for bringing community capabilities together in environmental and social emergencies.
EESSA is in development. This page introduces its vision of preparedness and care; it does not receive emergency calls or dispatch response teams. In an actual emergency, use the appropriate local emergency services.
Purpose
Understanding risks, identifying people with useful skills and caring for local resources strengthens community preparedness. EESSA’s vision connects this work with CIESSM signals and the experience of people living in the territory.
